Focus on the Family’s first international office was created in British Columbia, Canada, in 1984. Shortly after that, the first translations of Focus material were radio programs created to serve the Spanish-speaking families living in the USA. In 1991, Jim Daly began serving as a Field Director for the international offices and Focus’ international outreach began to take shape as the worldwide presence it is today. Now the Global Partnership is made up of offices in Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and Taiwan, along with partners in ministry from 60 other nations. This partnership reaches millions of people every year through radio broadcasts, social media, counseling, products, and events. Some of these are very similar to what is available in the USA, and others are tailored specifically to their audience.
